In the upcoming issue of Wend, on stands May 22, I review Brian Eustis’s film, Mekong: Exploring the Mother of Waters. I spoke with Ryan today and found out that the film was recently accepted into the Telluride Mountain Film Festival, aka Mountainfilm in Telluride.

If you haven’t seen The Great Turtle Race yet, it’s worth a look. Biologists have put a little backpack on 11 Leatherback turtles in Costa Rica. Each one has a GPS to track the path and speed of the Turtles to the next Stop. The Galapagos islands.

Mt. Ashland, the only resort in Oregon to be powered 100 percent on Green Energy, is also the only Oregon finalist in this year’s Golden Eagle Awards.
