Portland loves its custom built bikes. And the city is probably going to love them even more thanks to Chris King Precision Component’s recent hire of SyCip Designs co-founder Jay Sycip. Sycip will be working as the product manager for the company, but he’s also coming in to help revive King’s own brand, Cielo Cycles.
If you’re not familiar with Sycip, he brings 17 years of experience at SyCip Designs, the company that he co-founded with his brother. It’s a company that has a brilliant reputation in the bike industry. Who else would think to use beer tap handles as part of bicycle construction?

And of course, Portland is a great city to be moving to according to Sycip: “What better time to move to Portland than at the start of the cyclocross season. I’m very excited to be here.”
