So you’ve been dreaming of far-off adventures. It’s no surprise really; that’s what happens when you’re a Wend fiend. But now it’s time to get those dreams down on paper and apply for a Mountain Hardwear Expedition Sponsorship. That’s right, if you have aspirations to take off on a truly original adventure, you just might be able to get MH to fund it. All you have to do is fill out a fairly straightforward application and keep your fingers crossed.

Keep in mind that this is what the sponsorships are based on:

• Appropriateness of activity for using Mountain Hardwear gear
• Originality/uniqueness of project
• Demonstrated achievement in previous expeditions, including leadership skills, physical accomplishments, special recognitions/awards, and published works
• Level of safety versus level of risk involved (ability of leader to recognize dangers and prevent mishaps)
• Level of physical challenge
• Environmental and social responsibility

Now get to the drawing board and plan out your dream expedition, then apply here. Applications for the 2009 Expedition season are due November 15, 2008. Good luck!
