There’s nothing better than having someone pay for you to do something that you love. Which is exactly why if you have a crazy adventure in the works for the upcoming year, you should apply for the 2009 Polartec Challenge.
Polartec Challenge is an international grant program that supports the spirit and practice of outdoor adventure. And in the true Wend way, the people at Polartec support frugal, low impact teams that respect the local cultures and environments that they are passing through. Last year they funded 82 people from 16 different countries!
All it takes to apply is the be dedicated to your cause and passionate about the adventure you are about to embark on. For an idea of what Polartec goes for, check out the past challenge winners.
