Rollin’ Lightnin’ Gets Bikers to Light Up SF Streets
On Sunday November 2nd, we’re going back to daylight savings time, meaning that when we get up on Monday we can drink our morning coffee in the a.m. sun, but our commute home will be in the full on dark. San Fransisco-based Cordarounds, the maker of the Bike to Work Pants that we featured a few weeks ago here on the blog, is taking advantage of the first dark commute of the season to host Rollin’ Lightnin’ an event to light up cyclists and has the “modest goal of being visible from the International Space Station.”
If you live in San Francisco, you can join in the event which will start at 6pm on Monday November 3rd and take participants all around the city streets decked out in everything that lights up, from reflective straps to 4,000 glow sticks left over from Burning Man, donated by friends of Cordarounds. Timbuk2 and MonkeyLectric will be there to deck out riders in the best of their well lit technology. Now stop complaining about the impending dark commutes and find your best glow gear.

Folks: We’ll be starting the ride at the giant bow and arrow on the Embarcadero at 6:00PM. Join us with whatever light-emitting/light reflecting gear you have.
