Known as the Hammering Spot, this rapid on Canyon Creek in Washington provided Melissa Bearns with an awesome shot that definitely captures the movement of both the water and the paddler. Canyon Creek, with its big drops and beautiful scenery, is popular with whitewater paddlers in the Pacific Northwest, and from this photo you can definitely see why.
