It’s all over. Well, except for the final status of Missouri, but the days of campaigning, knocking on doors and getting out the vote are definitely done. But as the environmentally friendly, politically active individual that you are, what are you going to do with all those campaign signs that covered your yard for so long?

In some places it’s actually the responsibility of the campaigns to reclaim yard signs and get rid of them, but before you let a local official do the dirty work, make sure they’re committed to recyling. Of course you can always go with more creative ways to put old signs to good use. Grist put together a list of several interesting ways to do so, including making a sled or a birdhouse. If you’re really committed you can even turn those signs into new siding for your house. Goes to show that you can still keep the campaign spirit alive even when it’s over.

Any other ideas?
