Bicycles are doing good things in Africa (just look at the image above), and there are several programs working to bring more to the continent. We’ve already mentioned Bikes To Rwanda and Bike Town Africa, but if you need another great organization to give to for the holidays — donating to charity is way better than giving stuff and it reduces holiday waste — there’s World Bicycle Relief. The organization is doing a special fund raising drive called Double Bike Match where it will match every donated dollar between now and Friday December 19th.
You are encouraged to give any amount that you can, but if you want to go all out and donate a bike — which takes $143 — you’ll be mentioned as a Top Rider on the website.
