Traveling nearly 3,500 miles by foot is a feat in and of itself; doing it barefoot is even more epic. Having completed the barefoot coast to coast trek earlier this month, 19 year old Dashiel Asup knows just how epic such an adventure really is. Sponsored by the international charity Soles4Souls, Asup took 7 months to complete his journey, leaving high school to do so.
Interviewed by Need Magazine, in regards to leaving high school just a credit and a half away from graduation, Asup says, “I was told if I wanted to do anything with my life I needed the diploma. But there are always exceptions. I like to think that I’m an exception,” says Alsup. Now that’s a Wend attitude! But now that he’s back to a normal lifestyle, I wonder what shoes he’s going to wear?
