When she was 9, Severn Suzuki, founded the Environmental Children’s Organization, a group dedicated to teaching kids about environmental issues. At 12, she spoke in front of the U.N. at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Here’s her mindblowing speech.
It’s scary to think that she gave it almost 17 years ago, that this little girl is now 28 or 29 years old. And inspiring as well. Because it’s a reminder that we all can and need to do a little bit more.
