This video will most likely change your travel plans if you’ve been meaning to make your way to Tonga or the South Pacific any time in the near future. Yesterday the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai in Tonga erupted, giving tourists quite a shock and the resulting in the killer video above.
How will the underwater volcano affect the surrounding areas? According to the AP, the eruptions are currently not endangering any of the local coastal communities. That being said, the beaches of neighboring island Fiji will most likely be hit with a large amount of pumice, clogging the sandy coastline that draws tourists.
