Zack Colman Street Justice

an_opinionated_prick

On Friday, self-proclaimed “opinionated prick” Zack Colman published an article in Michigan State University’s student newspaper that implied cyclists should get off the road or be hit by cars. The article began, “Black 2001 Saturn SC2. That’s the car I drive – and if you’re a bicyclist on the road, but not in a bike path and you see my car, I hope you’re wearing a helmet, because I might run you over.” The article, which was instantly picked up and shot around the internet via Twitter and Facebook, incited rage in cyclist communities across the country.

In order to be as objective as possible, Wend’s crack investigative team flew down to Michigan State University to interview Colman. We cornered him outside his fraternity house where he was polishing the cow-catcher on the front of his Saturn. In a matter of seconds we determined that he really is just an opinionated prick. So, in going with our editorial policy, we administered a little street justice before heading back to Portland.
