Surf In Oregon is the only surf blog ’round these parts that I read everyday, with the exception of Foulweather (which isn’t always about surf). Doc has a gift for brevity and irony, and is lucky enough to have a job that keeps him near and in the ocean. For a guy pushing forty (gift) with a gaggle of kids, he surfs more than anyone I know. Give him a read if you’re OR surf curious.

From Doc’s blog:
NW WIND 5 TO 10 KTS. WIND WAVES 1 FOOT. SW SWELL 4 FT AT 16 SECONDS.
Don’t know how many have seen ‘em…
Don’t know if many have braved ‘em…
But if Shamu showed up at my my home break?
Might be time for beers on the beach…

Oswald aka Short Sands…
Judging from the waves…
Afternoon flood?

I wasn’t just referring to the legal children, but the sister wives offspring too.
