Art is an excellent vehicle for activism, particularly when it comes to public installations. The World Wildlife Fund recently installed such an installation in Berlin, where 1,000 miniature people made of ice were placed around the city during a warm 23 degree Celsius day. Reminiscent of our currently melting polar ice caps, the result was a stunning visual reminding people of the fragility of humankind in the face of nature.
