We do appreciate the general push to move from four wheeled vehicles to carbon-free two wheeled versions, but sometimes the attempt to come off as sustainable and eco-friendly just goes a bit far. Take the Yike Bike for example. An electronic and foldable bike, the Yike Bike isn’t really much more than an electric children’s tricycle.
You might not be using any gas as you would driving a car, but given that you don’t even need to pedal, you certainly aren’t getting any exercise. At $5,500 a pop I wonder how many people would go for this attempt at urban, eco-chic when the money could just be put towards a sweet road bike. Thoughts?
