Irish scientists are hoping to spice up cancer treatment by isolating a chemical compound in a dish that can be found on takeout menus throughout the world: Curry.
According to an article in Reuters, researchers at the Cork Cancer Research Center in Ireland have successfully treated esophageal cancer cells with curcumin, a chemical found in the spice turmeric – the ingredient that gives curry its strange yellow color.
Curcumin molecules killed esophageal cancer cells in the laboratory within 24-hours, suggesting the chemical might be developed as an anti-cancer treatment, scientists said.
This is fantastic news. But you can’t help but wonder if this breakthrough was one of those ‘happy accidents’ resulting from a scientist dropping his lunch into a beaker.

You will see on the website proposals sent to Gates, Foundation, Hughes foundation, Merck, Pfizer and Goldman foundation : note the discussion of tumeric and herbs and my illness and the Culpepper pilot project: all blocked because of malicious black listing by the U of Waterloo to cover up fraud. please note people from that university had 250 million dollars to try and buy the NHL hockey team, but had no money to help prevent people from dying of cancer ; indeed they black listed cancer research.The importance of this is the theory has grown into the Viroid Thermodynamic Theory on the Origin of Life, VTT and been peer reviewed by many, one a Kyoto winner who said it may be of phenomenal importance to mankind. This is awesome news. I believe that many of the food we eat has some kind of anti-disease agents that fight diseases. We still don’t know about them, we are working on I think as we see in this study.
