The Black Sun is a phenomenon that occurs in spring and fall when massive flocks of black starlings converge forming patterns in the sky. It’s black sun because if the birds are situated to your vantage, the mass can black out the sun. When predators arrive, attracted to the scene, it causes the starlings to frenzy making massive psychedelic shapes that morph and twist.
