Music Monday: Natural Sounds

Sound designer/composer Diego Stocco is a musician from Italy who has been playing music since the age of six. He is unique in his approach to sound, as he custom builds his instruments out of everyday objects for each composition to create never before heard sounds. In this particular video, he is using his natural environment in a completely rejuvenated way to make beautiful harmonies from a tree. Some of his other approaches include a burning piano, sand and a drying rack. These are only a few of Stocco’s techniques… and talk about intriguing; how do you make music out of sand?
