Stefan Gulas has spent the past four years developing the ErockIT, a super-fast hybrid bike that can sustain speeds of up to 50mph.

Instead of using an accelerator, riders must constantly pedal the ErockIT to keep it going. The faster you pedal, the faster you go. The motor multiplies the rider’s effort by a factor of 50, the company says.

This would be a pretty speedy toy to race around the city, but it looks suspiciously like a moped and the motor takes all the fun out of pure human-powered motion.
