Greg Gillis is the DJ responsible for my secret obsession with hip hop. I am not known for being a huge fan, yet still every time I listen to Girl Talk I just can’t help but get my groove on. It could be that Gillis brings back a fantastic selection of old school hip hop (which, you all have to admit, is the best of the kind) and combines it with some new cuts.
This featured song is off the newest Girl Talk CD titled, “Feed the Animals.” Something that is particularly fantastic, which could play a huge role in my obsession with Gillis’s mixes, is the way the music on this album never stop playing between songs. It’s as if you are listening to one, long, amazing hour of non-stop head bobbin, hip hop, electro-funk music.
Since it is the holiday season, a season for giving and sharing, I have decided to give in and share this little peace of heaven with you all in hopes that it ramps up your Monday morn and gets you all pumped for a great week!
