This week’s Friday Photo winner is Sam Heraldson for this amazing shot of Saddle Peak in Montana’s Bridger Mountain Range.
Here’s what Sam had to say about the event:
The avalanche report from the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center went like this, “…Stability tests and general observations from these ranges continue to indicate a stable snowpack. The mountains around Bozeman are getting hit hard by skiers and ice climbers since our early season conditions are the best in years.” So my roommate Mike and I grabbed our splitboards and headed to the hills for a few thousand feet of strenuous splitting and a few thousand feet of glorious descent.
Congratulations Sam, you win a Camelbak hydration pack stuffed with two boxes of Clif Bars, a Katadyn Hiker PRO Water Microfilter, a ChicoBag and a package of Grabber hand warmers.
