Sweaters ‘Round the World

Vietnam's

This week’s ‘Round the World post pays homage to one of the most underestimated articles of clothing in your closet: the sweater. In the west, sweaters — particularly ugly ones — have scratched their way back into mainstream style as ironic costumes for holiday parties. But the sweater is an important part of wardrobes around the world because of its utility, not its good looks.

A good, thick sweater will outlast the person who owns it which is why, this week, we take you on a visual journey of sweaters, ’round the world.

If you like our ‘Round the World series, you might enjoy some of the previous themes: mustaches, stairs, chess, foods, silhouettes, outhouses, cemeteries and donkeys.

Enjoy.
