In 2002, two cyclists, Jamie Bianchini and Garryck Hampton, hopped on two tandem bikes and headed out on a worldwide bike ride under the title of Peace Pedalers. With two empty passenger seats and extra cycling and camping gear, Bianchini and Hampton invited strangers to hop aboard and join the ride. Currently, Bianchini is the only full-time rider, but volunteers are welcome to accompany him through the Part Time Peace Pedaler Program. Plans of a television series are also in the works, so be sure to keep an eye out, and if the mood strikes, contact the Peace Pedalers and join the ride.
