This week’s Friday Photo winner is Jonathan Riley for this amazing shot of ice columns at the Bay of Fundy near Digby, Nova Scotia.
Here’s what he had to say about the event:
I only had a half hour before I had to head back to work, not to mention the tide was coming in and the wind was onshore and my hands were freezing solid.
I wrote in my diary that day:
Good luck led me to explore the shore to the east of the light – I’ve never gone that way before – why not? i got such a great view of the gut – looking in
and then i climbed down to the shore – and bingo – just like walking into an art gallery – it was cold and the tide was rising and the waves were crashing – i had to keep moving – it was a rush and exhausting and the greatest thing i have seen in a long time.
