Photo Tour of Carnival Celebrations Across the Globe

It’s that time of the year again: massive crowds dancing on the streets, multi-colored costumes and floats prancing alongside party people. February sees the world coming together to celebrate Carnival. From New Orleans to the Rio de Janeiro, we bring you on a pictorial tour to see how Carnival is celebrated in different corners of the world.

A ceremonial parade in Oruro, Bolivia lasts for 20 hours and covers 4 kilometers. Participants put on hand-crafted masks and join in the traditional celebrations.
