The largest relay race in the world, otherwise known as “The Mother of All Relays,” is a runner’s haven and a non-runner’s hell. So, why do so many different types of people (runners and non-runners alike) participate in it? This is the question that Hood to Coast the movie sets out to answer. While filming a few teams, the film also sets out to demonstrate what it looks and feels like to run a 36-hour, 197-mile race from Mount Hood to the Oregon Coast, and why, in the midst of so much pain and misery, HTC still turns out to be one hell of a party.
