British Outdoor Company Seeking Sleeping Bag Tester

Previous camping experience is “preferred,” but not required for the job of “sleeping bag tester.” A recently placed ad by the British outdoor company Halfords is currently seeking this very position. They’re looking for someone to test the “warmth, strength and longevity” of the bag by sleeping in it for five days. The position is paid, and whoever gets hired will earn about $924 U.S. dollars after the five-day sleeping period is over. According to Halfords outdoor leisure expert Oliver Pinders, “This is the age of peer-to-peer recommendation, and the best person to talk about the merits of a sleeping bag is someone who has spent the night sleeping in it.”

Unfortunately, the application deadline closed April 15. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for any future job opportunities resembling this one.
