This morning at approximately 9 a.m., a man’s body was found at the North Fork of the Virgin River near the Gateway to the Zion Narrows in Zion National Park. According to reports, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified, and a medical examiner and investigator were dispatched to the area. The identity of the man is not yet known.
In the meantime, a search for two men in the Zion Narrows has been under way since Sunday morning, when the National Park Service received notification that two men who planned to float The Narrows by raft on Saturday did not return by their expected return time. The men have yet to be located and the search is still in progress.
