Apparently your right to ride doesn’t withstand the presence of President Obama. On Earth Day in New York, the NYPD confiscated hundreds of bikes along Houston Street in preparation for Obama’s speech at Cooper Union. The concern? That the bikes might be secret pipe bombs. The hoard of bicycles were clipped from their locks before being thrown in the back of a truck. Information was not given on what will become of the bikes, but we know this much: We’re steering our bikes clear of Mr. Obama.
