For some, the sole purpose of a set of stairs is to walk up and down them to get from one level to another; railing is often added to provide support.
But for skateboarders, a staircase with railing is an opportunity.
All over the world, skateboarders—from the professionals whose skills have been honed to those just starting out—are seeking similar opportunities in parks, monuments, waterfronts, and yes, even the Great Wall of China, to practice their kickflips and ollies.
So whether you board yourself or you’re more of the spectator sort, sit back, relax, and prepare to take a visual journey of Skateboarding, ‘Round the World.
If you like our ‘Round the World series, you might enjoy some of the previous themes: surfin’, doorways, hats, boating, gas stations, bicycles, windows, truckin’, glasses, mohawks, beer, authorities, fanny packs, Jesus, swimming, sweaters, mustaches, stairs, chess, foods, silhouettes, donkeys, outhouses, and cemeteries.
