This weekend on Saturday the 22nd, Imperial Beach, CA. saw a different beach crowd with the fifth annual Loews Dog Surfing Competition taking place for most of the day. The competition included three heats; small surf dogs, large surf dogs and tandem teams. Judging was based on “length of ride and overall ability to ‘grip it and rip it.’” You can watch the tandem winners (who competed without their human) in the video below.
