June is a month that slips seamlessly into the ripe heat of full-on summer. And often, it’s at this stage in the season that we find ourselves packing up a few days worth of clothes for a good ol’ camping trip.
Whether you’re filling your pack to the brim with backcountry necessities or throwing a six-pack in the trunk before picking up a friend and his tent; boiling coffee at camp or roasting S’mores with a scraggly stick; you’re enjoying the delights of this month’s Friday Photo Theme: ‘Base Camp Fun.’ And because having fun at base camp means so many different things to so many different types of adventurous spirits, we want the shots you submit to reflect the diversity of base camp fun; whether that illustrates your friend chopping wood just minutes before dusk or yourself playing the banjo by the light of the fire.
Each week we’ll choose the shot that best exemplifies ‘Base Camp Fun’ and the winner will receive a Grand Trunk Parachute Nylon Double Hammock, a pair of ExOfficio travel underwear and a pair of Keen shoes.
