Good morning, America! Happy day-after-the-Fourth, happy day off… and happy hangover. If you watched last night’s fireworks while consuming one of our nation’s fine micro brews, then you just might be in the mood for some pleasant tunes to even out the ringing in your ears and the pounding in your head. That’s why this Monday we bring you The Black Keys, a duo that hails from Akron, OH and plays some kick ass rock-blues ballads with nothing more than Dan Auerbach’s voice and guitar and Patrick Carney’s drums. The young duo’s bluesy tunes hit the ear with ease, and resonate with an element of rock n’ roll that makes their sound unique in its own right.
The Black Keys recently released their sixth full-length album, titled “Brothers,” which the pair deems “spooky” with an element of “dark groove” that carries strong throughout.
