Robert F. Burgess, author of The Cave Divers, as well as a ridiculous amount of other books on the subject, wrote that “scuba diving is itself a hazardous sport. To do it without any training is tantamount to playing Russian roulette with a loaded revolver.”
For all of you that participate in this “hazardous sport,” consider this week’s roundup a special present.
Perhaps you’re fortunate to live near the coast or maybe you venture the underwater world while traveling abroad. Either way, with each breath you take from your oxygen tank, you’re seeing parts of the world that most can only view in photographs. And what with the continued degradation of our coral reefs, you may be exploring areas that—sad to say—won’t be around too terribly long.
So regardless of whether you’ve gone diving or not, sit back, relax and prepare to take a visual journey of Scuba Diving, ‘Round the World.
If you like our ‘Round the World series, you might enjoy some of the previous themes: sailing, slacklining, spelunking, trekking, water skiing, mountain biking, sand, gliding, kayaking, climbing, buses, skateboarding, surfin’, doorways, hats, boating, gas stations, bicycles, windows, truckin’, glasses, mohawks, beer, authorities, fanny packs, Jesus, swimming, sweaters, mustaches, stairs, chess, foods, silhouettes, donkeys, outhouses, and cemeteries.
