“This photo is from a hike down into Crater Lake in July of 2009. There was a family from Milwaukee, WI at the bottom and the daughters were daring their father to jump in the lake just as we got to the water. I didn’t even have time to switch from my wide angle lens, which was lucky because I wouldn’t have decided to use it if I’d had the choice. It turned out to be one of my favorite photos from the trip–just the right place and the right time.”
