Who knew my slackline from Asheville to NYC would go directly over the White House? Not me! I swear!

Well, that’s me half way to the Big Apple, all lit up like a Christmas tree. After I convinced the Secret Service to untrain their lasers from my hungry, tired body, I was escorted by helicopter about 400 yards north on my slackline.

They understood that the surprise of quickly becoming all aglow in red lasers explained the small amount of urine that leaked from my dehydrated cartoon midsection. As I explained to them, I did not intend to pee on the White House. I voted for Barack and think he is doing a fine job (although I’d like to see stronger action in regards to the environment and clean energy, but that is not entirely his fault)! Now had I been innocently slacking above the White House during the Bush years… well that urine may have been intentional. And I’m sure I wouldn’t have lived to type about it…

Off to NYC (beginning to rethink the world tour,–America may be enough…)!

Joe – Obama is doing a fine job??

Really???? How are you measuring that? What criteria are you using???

  2. Joe Mohr Joe says:

Well Jeff–i said “fine” because I wanted to keep this post free of politics–only because most of my other cartoons are quite political, this series is a nice break. But since u asked:
I won’t mention the fact that the repubs have hindered a lot of the progress that has been proposed. And sadly, the fact remains that unfortunately Barack is the most liberal candidate that will ever likely be elected in our (tea partying, Rush loving, oil and coal addicted, car driving, 24 hour news watching) America so i need to focus on the positives because it’s still better than McCain being elected. Those positives (albeit watered down in order to get bipartisan support) are: Health care reform, working to secure and reduce nuclear stockpiles, Creating new financial regulations, working to promote and create green jobs, releasing presidential records (to undue what Bush attempted to keep top secret forever), creating an artist corps in and for schools, increasing focus on science, improving policy and relations with native americans, raising fuel economy standards, investing in alternative energy, increasing funding for the EPA, investing in public transit and the high speed rail project, reversing the restriction on stem cell research, and hopefully increasing capital gains and dividends taxes for higher-income citizens, to name a few. I am focusing on positive change, and am very aware that each point i present can be picked apart.
We need to realize that one man cannot change the world–but he can rally the masses to work with him to create change. And unfortunately, in obama’s case, one man can rally a huge group of resentful republicans, racists, other folks who would rather believe what they hear on TV than make their own decisions based on real world experiences (of which many of the same folks are not having)…I could go on–but won’t. Feel free to reply, but I’m done.
That is what i meant by “fine”.
    Joe

ummm, the Dems have majorities in both houses, including a super majority in the Senate – so that excuse won’t fly…

Healthcare is a major cluster. Care will NOT improve, it will/has destroyed the economy because of massive debts. And, it’s not going to “bend the cost curve”. Don’t believe me, just read the most recent CBO reports. Moreover, the Dems have been told not to discuss the whole savings angle during the upcoming election….because it’s a lie….

    Global warming is a lie….

Joe – maybe if you were open-minded enough to get some of your news from “other” sources, and not rely on Jon Stewart, Richard Madcow and Keith “not to throw off heat; it is to throw off light” Olbermann, maybe you would be a little more educated on all the other crap you spewed.

Face it, Obama is a MAJOR failure, and the American public is waking up to that fact despite the MSMs best attempt to protect their guy…

    Wow Jeff!
Now I know what I’m dealing with here. A smart, open minded, empathetic, smart, courageous, critical thinking, independent, smart, kind, honest, and smart individual.
    You’ve changed me!
Thank you. What a day this has been.
    Thanks Jeff.

Long live the right wing dandies that I used to think were the wackos that were ruining this country!

Glad to see you’re getting some practical use out of that Saul Alinsky book…
