This weekend in Rock Island, Illinois, participants in about 1,200 canoes and kayaks linked hands and paddles together for 30 seconds in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest collective canoe and kayak raft. The standing record was set in 2008 in New York.

This Saturday’s event was aptly named “Floatzilla,” but despite its grandiose name, reports have yet to announce whether or not “Floatzilla” accomplished its goal of becoming the largest raft in the world.
