The Thermals probably spawned during some cold gloomy winter night in Portland, just like a thousand other bands have. But only the really good make it past playing at bike messenger parties, and only a few of the best get signed with Kill Rock Stars. If you are in Portland go see them, The Decemberists and many many more at MFNW in two weeks!
