Turkeys ‘Round the World

In honor of Thanksgiving, this week’s roundup of photos was supposed to be images of awesome looking turkeys from around the world. But I’m not much of a science person, and I didn’t stop to think that wild turkeys—like the kind we think of around this time of year—are primarily in North America.

So, instead of just traditional turkeys, there are also some turkey vultures and other birds that have the word “turkey” in their name among the bunch. It certainly didn’t help that Flickr seemed to be lacking in anything turkey-like, unless, of course, you are referring to the country. Regardless, I ought to be grateful for what I did find, because it’d be on the ironic side if I wasn’t. So sit back, relax, and prepare to take a visual journey of Turkeys, ‘Round the World.
