I’m hungry and tired and arrived in NYC (the end of my U.S. tour!) without any type of fan fair. Yet my spirits lifted when my slackline passed a beautiful fire escape garden. Throughout, this cross country slacktour I ate a generous amount of burritos, consumed more beer than a… Read the rest
Who knew my slackline from Asheville to NYC would go directly over the White House? Not me! I swear!
Well, that’s me half way to the Big Apple, all lit up like a Christmas tree. After I convinced the Secret Service to untrain their lasers from my hungry, tired body,… Read the rest
Was treated to some great street entertainment as I strolled above lovely downtown Asheville, North Carolina. Ian Moore, “fiddler and such-like” was singing, dancing, and fiddling to great fanfair just outside of Asheville’s famed bookstore, Malaprops (across the street from a wonderful beer garden and restaurant intuitively dubbed The BierGarden).… Read the rest
Circled a few of the folks who were caught gawking at yours truly as I slackbiked my way out of Chicago. Since the trip from St. Louis to Chicago was so short I decided I’d keep biking on to Asheville and leave my bike there. Planning to trade it to… Read the rest
I got to pick up my bike while in my hometown of St Louis. I figured I’d take my bike to Chicago just to try slackbiking, and leave it there with a friend. Oddly, a bike on a slackline didn’t stand out too much as I passed the awesomely creative… Read the rest
Ran in to a little bad weather arriving in Omaha. After the lightning strike, I rested a bit on the slackline. When I woke up the next morning, the weather had cleared and I got to see Nebraska’s largest city (and the country’s 40th) in all of its glory. It… Read the rest

Why did I decide to slackline into Salt Lake city 98 years ago?
Two reasons.
1) I have a lot of time to think while traveling at just under two mph.

Slacked in to Boise on Wednesday in time for their “Alive After Five” outdoor concert series. Got to see Lubriphonic perform. They brought the funk! It was an enjoyable break.
Don’t ask how I got the beer.
Should be slacking into Salt Lake City by next
Got a little encouragement from a friend today. My pace is quickening–getting more steady on the line. Should be able to be in a new city each week from here on out.
See you in Boise!
