Around this time last year GE unveiled the OLED Christmas Tree. This year, they’ve done one better: Santa’s sleigh has been upgraded. Ol’ Saint Nick can now cruise in style with an ice and water repellent exterior, self-powered OLED headlights, and sleigh blades made of Ceramic Matrix Composites to minimize rooftop “clatter.” The trip will even be easier on the reindeer with the new carbon fiber frame and sodium batteries, which will make the sleigh lighter and partially self-powered.
