Independent research shows that Budweiser beer contains genetically engineered rice varieties that are outlawed in most parts of the world. This prompted Greenpeace to create this (slightly disturbing) spoof on a classic Bud commercial. Watch above and see for yourself.

    wow, I need to look more into this one! I am just glad I only drank American Budweiser once in my life….. just never brought it.

    makes me glad that most of the ingredients in the beer I drink came from a field or water source a less than a few hundred miles away instead of a lab somewhere.

    Sami, do you have any more info on the study that greenpeace did? I’m wondering what their findings were, how they did the research, etc., and the links on their website article about this are broken. I’m also curious about this particular strain of GE rice- why is it banned in Europe and not here, exactly?
