I had a tough time narrowing it down from four captions (Paul, Kyle, Tim and B Sharp) to two (Paul and Kyle). That task was so difficult that in order to make the final decision, I put the last two captions before a “jury of my peers.” In no time, Kyle was declared the winner!
Comments on Kyle’s victory — Kyle’s caption opened my eyes to the cartoon rendering of Glenn Beck. He does look a bit like he is thrusting his (doughy) midsection forward (unintentional), and his smirk has a sexually satisfied look to it (again, unintentional — at least, I think). Also, Kyle’s strongly-worded caption does a good job of capturing the issue: the loudmouth, uber-conservative denialist is doing more to (make sweet love to the earth’s glory hole) than any other one person.
His unfortunate position as the celebrity Pied Piper of the couch-potatoey masses is spreading the angry lie that all of the poison and toxic wastes we spew into the environment is having little to no ill effect. Therefore, concern for the environment is a waste of your time. Your time is better spent yelling (from your couch, of course) Glenn’s lies to those trying to better our collective situation.
Well done Kyle.
