Head on up to Westport, Wash. next month to check out this year’s Clean Water Classic. The longest running surf competition in the Pacific Northwest, the 2010 Classic will host over 100 surfers from Washington, Oregon and British Columbia of all ages and levels, and will include divisions for pro/am, mens, masters, women, juniors and kids.

In addition to the kickass surfing, there will be a silent auction and an after-party featuring the Portland-based band TapWater.

The Classic serves as an annual fundraising event for the Surfrider Foundation. Friends of Wend, the folks at Surfrider are dedicated to protecting and enjoying the world’s oceans.
