Riding your bike to the store, as innocent of an act as it may be, has some inherent liability written into it. It’s altogether possible that you’ll park your bike outside, lock it up, go in to do your shopping, and come out to find that it (or any of its parts) has been stolen. But this is something you’d never even think twice about if you rode around on the newly designed Cannondale Ville commuter folder bike because it turns into… a shopping cart.
The bike folds twice and essentially doubles back onto itself to make a tall-ish two-pronged cart. Created by designer Hyuk-Jae Chang, the concept is deemed ingenious by some, idiotic by others. We’re not willing to place judgment at this junction, but we would argue that most commuters probably wouldn’t actually ride around town on this… and then pop it into place to shop with. A rad concept nonetheless.
