Enviropig. That’s what we’re calling this new strain of swine that poops less phosphorous than the traditional piggie. By excreting about 40 percent less phosphorous, the Enviropig would contribute much less than average to phosphate run-off, which leads into the ocean and contributes to exponentially-expanding marine dead zones.
